JUNE NEWSLETTER
Back in the saddle again…

I'm finally starting to come up for some air, have some great news, some fun stuff coming up…and yes, I’m even writing again! Thanks to everyone for your patience. This month I will be awarding three prizes to make up for being gone so long, so make sure to check the box below to see if you’ve won. Now, for the news… Minnette :)

STARSIGHT AVAILABLE AT 55% OFF LIST
AT STONEGARDEN UNTIL JUNE 30TH…

My wonderful publisher has lowered prices on all Stonegarden titles between now and June 30th. This is a great opportunity to get both Starsight books for less than half price.

FIRST ANNUAL NW BOOK FESTIVAL…
I was delighted to be invited this wonderful event. Over 40 authors will be speaking and signing their books at the 1st Annual Northwest Book Festival, held Saturday June 27 at 21860 Willamette Drive, West Linn, OR 97068, from 10:00am to 4:00pm. Make sure if you live in the Portland area (or even if you don’t) to drop buy and meet the authors.

CENTURION IS BOOK OF THE WEEK AT LSR…
I was so proud to find out that THE CENTURION & THE QUEEN had been selected as Book of the Week over at Long & Short Reviews. It and my second piece of good news about STARSIGHT (below) could not have come at a better time. I sincerest thanks to the great people over at LSR. Here’s the link: REVIEW – THE CENTURION & THE QUEEN - LSR

TERRI PATRICK’S FANTASTIC REVIEW OF BOTH STARSIGHT BOOKS…

The other wonderful review I received was from a fellow Rose City Romance Writer and I absolutely floored. Reviews from other authors, especially good ones, are an honor since most authors are very busy and barely have time to read a book, let alone review it. Terri Patrick, an amazing writer, dedicated a blog post to both books. Thanks so much, Terri.

RIDING WITH THE POLICE, RESUSCITATING THE MUSE & A PREVIEW OF GHOSTS… As some of you know, the life of a writer can be very similar to that of a salamander; you live in a cave, don’t see daylight very often, and are anchored to your rock…erm, computer most of the time. That’s why when I spent the day with Officer Pickett from the East Portland Police Bureau, I had the time of my life! Read about it in my blog article, IN THE SHADOW OF HEROES. I also did a small blog tour with my article RESUSCITATING THE MUSE talking about writer’s block just for kicks. It’s a funny look at an author’s worst nightmare. In addition, I’m finishing up my current WIP KEENAN’S DILEMMA and thought it might be fun to give everyone a sneak peak at this paranormal romantic comedy of disasters.

UPCOMING BOOK SIGNINGS: Saturday, June 27th, NW Book Festival – 10am-4pm – 21860 Willamette Drive, West Linn, OR 97068
Saturday, August 15th, Authors Fair, Bob’s Book – 12-3pm - Bob’s Books, Lincoln City, OR

UPDATE ON THE CENTURION SERIES…
The Centurion & The Queen and The Edge of Honor are both doing well right now, with some great reviews. The next in the series, GLADIATOR PRINCE, has been outlined and ready to go just as soon as I get my other deadlines met. I’m very excited about this project and hope fans of the Centurion series will love it too. Here are some excerpts from EDGE…

STARSIGHT UPDATE…
The Starsight series is beginning to take off and has found a new audience; teenagers. Who would have thought? Anyway, I am thrilled that young people have found the series and are enjoying it. I am working on plans to visit high schools and present writing workshops in the fall. More news to come on that soon!

STARSIGHT VOL. II - BOOKS III & IV - War ravishes the Imperium, held together by the valor of ancient warriors and the devotion of the empire's elite. Trenara no longer trusts the power that has turned the boy she once loved into a man she no longer understands. He frightens her. Joshan's ascendancy grows every day as he leads them to Sirdar's domain. The monster has prepared a welcome that none of them expects and Joshan knows he is endangering them all. Sacrifices are made; bonds are broken. The line between good and evil are blurred in the blood of the innocent. Will Joshan use the power to rescue his world or will a new tyrant sit upon Sirdar's throne?
